It would have been nice if the OS had support to switch "on the fly" between the two VGA modes, but hey, you cannot ask too much from MSFT, it took them 3 years to give us the Landscape mode :)
And in 3 years Pocket TV hasn't improved past mpeg 1, let's not talk about Microsoft

I almost never use "true vga" anymore. Now that I have PTvncHires, I do all my web browsing through vnc, a huge improvement over Pocket IE/Netfront even in true VGA. And let's quit using the stupid term "True VGA", just because fonts and menus are larger, does not make them non-vga. The only built in application I know of that is not truly VGA is Pocket IE. Try viewing a excel sheet at 50 percent on a VGA device, and then on a QVGA, and tell me that there isn't a huge difference. Pocket Excel and many other apps always run in true vga. Once more software is made properly for VGA devices, I don't think this will even be an issue.
