Having gone from a Palm OS to an Axim, I would recommend the Axim hands down. The Palm devices are great for simple organizing tasks and playing some free games, but the $400 Tungsten is way too expensive for that level of functionality. The Pocket PC platform, while the free software library is nowhere near as large, is far more flexible in terms of what it will do.
