I use Real One Player for Pocket PC Version: 2.0.0.28. (At least that’s what it says in ‘About’)

It had some problems with the interface, but it seems to play content adequately. I only really use it to play bbc radio.
Instead of installing it properly I found that it was one of the self contained apps that can run fine by copying the installation directory anywhere and recreating your shortcuts. So once you have installed it, after a hard reset you can still run it.

The only downside is that you have to open links or files from within the player. I just save the .ram files for the streams that I listen to.

If I were you, I’d BACKUP (hopefully you have one before the install), then hard reset and try running the real player from its folder and see if it still hangs. If not you can restore to the point before install and continue to run the player from its folder. If you don’t have a backup from before the install then copy the realplayer folder to your desktop and then uninstall realplayer and copy the folder back to the axim.
