The strange thing is that the stand-alone links are always shown when I use my desktop PC, but they don't appear in PIE (even when I use Tweaks2k2 to make PIE look like IE6). The even stranger thing is that the link is there in the HTML code in PIE, it just doesn't get displayed
It would be great to be able to lie in bed listening to some of the BBC's recent and classic comedy programs, but I just can't get it to work! RealPlayer will definitely play the streams: if I download the .ram file on my PC and type the rtsp:// link into the RealPlayer 'Open' dialogue, it loads up the stream and plays it perfectly well.

I mainly use it for live stuff but I too get annoyed when they don't have the 'Listen using stand-alone Real Player' link. I don't even have it for a lot of the shows on my desktop.
Here's what you can do if you do get the 'Listen using stand-alone Real Player' option for the show that you want to listen to on the desktop but not on PIE.
Right-Click the 'Listen using stand-alone Real Player' link and then save the showname.ram to your desktop. All you need to do now is copy that over to your axim and open it via realplayer.
You should be able to do this with any of the shows that have the link. I just keep these *.ram files with me for the live stations too as you can just open up 5live direct without having to navigate to the site.
When you look at the link to files it may be possible to create your own. The comedy show ‘DeadRingers’ is at
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/bbc7/0830_fri.ra you can just stick this in a text file and then rename that file whatever.ram and it should play fine.
Hope you can get hold of the shows that you want with one of these methods.
