You've answered your own question. Mobipocket format and eReader format are not the same thing. I understood from falconflyer's post that he has books that he reads in Mobipocket on his Palm. He wanted to know if these books would be readable in Mobipocket on his new PPC. The answer is yes.
If you download anything in
eReader format from manybooks.net, then Mobipocket will not read them because they are not in
Mobipocket format.
