Try encoding at 15 Frames per sec. This is what I do and it always gives faultless flicker and jerk free viewing, even at the highest possible VGA resolution. I use 2 pass encoding.

My settings for the very best possible VGA 640 x 480 .AVI files are :-

Video Quality 199 = 2,866 kbps
Audio Quality 10 = 224 kbps

This gives a .AVI file size of 845 MB for a 50 minute DVD clip. Far too big for a full length movie,of course, but I did it to see the ultimate quality obtainable. All I can say is that it was totally perfect - as good as any DVD player and better than most. :approve:
