I have had this problem that you speak of ever since I purchased my X5 in July of 2003, and it has never caused any horrible errors that I have noticed (therefore they must not exist

Additionally, I have noticed on iPAQ PPCs that the iTask program shows and exits from many more programs, such as the settings window, which I have never seen on the Switcher bar. Perhaps this is a bug in the Switcher, not an error with ActiveSync itself.
