Active sync will automatically 'look for changes' on the outlook profile that's open. That happened to me once and I accidentally synced onto my wife's profile, which was quite painful to undo. Had to wipe her profile clean and reload her contacts, etc. from a back up file. The other thing is that if you synced to outlook and still have your Axim in the cradle, you cannot open the other person's outlook profile without disconnecting your Axim from the cradle. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty painless. :)

One more thing to add is to make sure you do backups frequently in case the profiles get all mixed up.
