Hi all,

I just got my x50v yesterday and I went and bought a Linksys WRT54GS router to replace my wired router. I set the router up for 802.11b and turned on the wi-fi on the Axim, it found my SSID and I'm able to browse the net just fine. I tried going thru the wi-fi guide to turn on WEP, which I also then enabled in the router, but after trying to configure the Axim, I couldn't get connected. I ended up doing a hard reset and got back to where I can surf again.

So my question is...if I'm just surfing web pages, and not doing any confidential email or banking, is WEP important? I guess I would like to get it working so I could check my bank accounts, however....I think that's where WEP is useful?
