No - this is a known issue with the code in Wisbar Advanced2. The author is working on it. It only affects Axim's so far according to the author. Specifically where it hangs, is at this point: You select the Dell WLAN Utility and select settings from that menu, when the Configure Wireless Networks window pops up it does a get_string in C code. For some reason Dell keeps on refreshing the data output and overflows the get_string request. At least that's what the author seems to think is happening but he can't quite put his finger on it yet cuz we're on the 2nd or 3rd beta fix for it, and still doesn't work. It will require a soft reset at this point if you don't back out of wisbar before attempting to mess with the network settings. All this is posted on the wisbar forum under "network settings locks up on Dell Axim X50's" (or something close to that).

Not really concerned, MetalHead.
My point was that this thread was a question about a problem with WeatherPanel on the X50 screen. So why has WA2 become an issue here? Is Wisbar Advance somehow causing WeatherPanel to render incorrectly on beezel's Today screen? That is what he asked for help with. I don't think that WA2 has anything to do with it. Unless, of course, I'm missing something here about a connection between these two issues.
It seems you do have a valid concern, but then why write about a Wisbar Advance 2 problem in a thread about WeatherPanel?
You may want to find or start a thread about the WA2 issue! :)
(BTW, an FYI - You don't really have to soft reset in the meantime; try tapping on the SIP selector & then Options - you can then go anywhere you want without performing a soft reset! :approve: )
