Yeah good luck... it is probably something screwy in the registry after the drive swap.
Give the MS Installer Clean Up a go.
You could also try installing the Serive Pack 3 Patch for MS Office XP and see if that helps anything. I'd do it anyway regardless but we can always hope it will overwrite the files that don't work.
If you are really desperate to get rid of MS Office and the MS utility doesn't work you could get a 3rd party unistall like Norton's Clean Sweep.
