umm, isn't windows CE 5.0 a windows mobile builder. so like if you want to build a embedded OS you can use it to create one? i was looking at it and it looks like the same thing as windows CE 4.0 which is a program that lets you build embedded software.

Windows CE Builder (which is what you described) is a Microsoft product, but trust me it is NOT free to download. This looks to be a legit CE 5.0 eval version.
However, that doesn't necessarily mean it's Windows Mobile 2005. Windows CE is just the backend OS behind the Windows Mobile (aka PocketPC) frontends.
