It may be that your viewing some sort of scaled version in Resco and the conversion isn't so smooth. Play around with some of the viewing options and you'll see the differences (assuming you're playing with oversized pictures). You should be able to view things just as well as the normal image view if not better. I think you may just have a couple settings in the way.

Edit: Just saw your post above. I'm not sure about the one that Dell ships, but the one you can get from Resco is VGA ready.
Thanks! Will try more options. However up to now I still found the built-in Pictures still have smoother photo quality especially if there are texts shown in the jpg file.

The jpg file I used to compare is a 2048x1500 size file and viewed at 100%.
