I asked this question on the other thread but couldn't get an answer:

I currently have a Netgear Cable router. I wonder if I can get a wireless router (the $29.99 CompUSA one, for example) and use a cable to link the two routers together.

I was going to get a Netgear Access Point. But it is hard to beat $29.99.
