I am a pharmacy student and use the free Epocrates version, lexicomp suite, and MobileMicromedix. Lexicomp is great because it includes 15 databases and works well from an SD or CF card. In addition to drug information it includes Stedman's medical dictionary, Griffith's five minute consult, and useful medical abbreviations. The only drawback is that it is expensive. If your wife is a student she will probably qualify for a discount. MobileMicromedix is also pretty good and we get free access to it through my school.
