Can't clear PIE temp files...I think.

I was playing around with Where Is My Ram the other day, and noticed the "profiles" subdirectory was the largest one in my Windows directory. More specifically, \windows\profiles\guest\ has three subdirectories: Temporary Internet Files, History & Cookies. Together these subdirectories are taking up 1.6 meg of space.

I went into PIE and clicked "Clear History", "Delete Files" and "Clear Cookies", but it didn't free up any space. Each of the three directories has a file in it somewhere called index.dat that is taking up the space, and trying to clear them in PIE doesn't seem to have any effect. When I clicked the buttons I mentioned above nothing happens and no space is regained.

I'm using WM2003 on an X5 Advanced. Can I safely blow these away? I tried to copy them to my SD card so I could see if getting rid of them had any impact, but when I tried they were "in use" and couldn't be moved. I'm guessing they aren't going to just let me delete them.

Any suggestions on how I can free up this space?

Thanks,

Gary
