That's part of what I was talking about...

....Dell and the other OEMs got to the point of "why spend all this time trying to get the new OS to load over the old one, and have people complain the upgrade trashed their devices or was buggy or whatever". You had a number of them who COULD have upgraded (i.e., to WM2k3 from PPC2k2) who didn't because they were skeptical or whatever. So, lost potential revenue there. If there are enough people who feel the way you do about not jumping onto the new OS, then why bother with an upgrade. So, that's why I'm saying we won't be seeing WM2k5 on anything other than new machines. I'd like to be wrong, if only for you X50v owners out there, since none of the rest of us have any chance at upgrades (THAT I can promise you). I'm certain I'm correct, though.
