also a reason why i would opt for a pmc device is because ithink it doesn't convert video as long as it takes my x50v to do the same thing...it takes me nearly 2-4 hours just 2 convert a dvd or movie file to the x50v...i heard that pmc just transfers it like a file...please some1 correct me if im wrong...

You still have to do some kind of conversion or capture process to get video onto a PMC, so it won't really save you any time that way. The battery life of most PMCs probably isn't a lot better than an Axim's when it comes to video, either. They would definitely have an edge in the storage department, though.
Personally, I don't watch movies on the go enough to justify a separate device, so I just use my Axim for that and my iPod for music.
