The X30 high should be able to do everything you said you needed. I am a pharmacy student and was trying to decide between the X30 and the X50v a few months ago. I decided on the X50 but I have a lot of friends (Pharmacy and Medical Students) that have the X30High. I'd check with your school to find out if they have student pricing on any of the medical software products. There is a free Epocrates version for drug reference, but the free version cannot go on a card and can eat up a lot of memory. Our school offers free access to MobileMicromedix which I like better than Epocrates. I also was able to get in on a group discount for the Lexicomp Suite (15 complete databases including, Grifith's 5 minute consult, Stedman's Dictionary, MedAbbreviations, and a lot of drug information databases)
