Like all things it depends on the situation.

I run a small/medium sized organization. I have 40 computers at the main office and about 100 total scattered between Missouri and Florida.

In the main office I use a hardware based firewall and Nortons Corporate Edition antivirus. I am currently looking for a spyware software program like ad-aware. But in the offices with just a couple computers I use a smaller firewall - like the blue box from Linksys and a dsl or cable connection and Norton Corporate Edition antivirus in stand alone mode.

I can go on forever about security, antivirus and backup. Seems we can spend as much as we want on it and still never be totally secure. Such is life.
