For enabling WEP, somewhere on the Axim (probably under settings but possibly under programs) there will be a MA701 Configuration Utility – tap on it to open.
Tap on the Security tab at the bottom,
Change ‘disabled’ to 128-bit (or 64 if that’s what you are using)
If you created the WEP key with a passphrase in the MS router, do not be surprised if the password does not work. This may be why chuckconnor and captpg have had trouble. I’ve found using equipment from two manufacturer’s, the same password does not create the same encryption key. This gives you two choices, make up the key with 26 hexadecimal characters (these are the numbers 0 to 9 and letters a to f) or let one piece of equipment create the key from a password and then enter the resulting hexadecimal in the other. My router shows me what key is created so I do it this way.

For the MAC filtering, you need to change the router’s settings to accept the CF card’s MAC address. My card has the MAC address printed on the back of the card. If yours doesn’t, you can find it on the Status page in the MA701 Configuration Utility on the Axim. To add the CF card to the router, open the Base Station Management Tool (Broadband Network Utility, on the Tools menu) and open Security from the menu and select MAC filtering. Add the CF card’s number to the list.

Once you’ve got these settings finished on the router and the Axim, do a soft reset and you should be up and running.
