I have an San Disk 32Meg Multimedia card that I bought for my digital camera last year also a 64Meg Compact Flash. I put each in my card reader seperately and tried to load music files on them. The compact flash was more than twice as fast in the same reader! I was surprised at the difference.

So what's the scoop? Are some SD or MMC devices faster than others? And what is the range of differences?
