One point - take your time mapping the custom fields - as this affects all the contacts imported - it is better to really think about this and do it right first time.
A useful way to do this is to go into Outlook and enter all the information for one or two contacts, then go to File>Import and Export, Export to a file> Choose an excel file.
Have a look at the file created and make sure your existing data is in a similar format.
I recommend that what you actually do is copy/paste the data from your existing spreadsheet into this one.
Yes it will take time, but it will be much quicker than entering all the data into Outlook - and MOST IMPORTANTLY - when you import it into Outlook it will populate the fields right first time :approve:
