I don't have any problems with pocketmusic...
Im reading files from my SD card and I haev around 500M of MP3 (approx 150 songs) and there are all loading without problems...
Maybe it is an issue with the net connexion...
Sorry that I cant help you more than saying this is working with me...
I dont think you will find something usefull inside config menu...
(you can try to increase cache size)
