I have a Athlon 64 1.4ghz with 256mb DDR RAM and it takes me about 5 or six hours usually. On one DVD though, it took a total of 8 and I couldn't get the audio to work, so I had to retry it a total of 3 TIMES!!! It was annoying, but I just leave it on overnight, but hopefully a new laptop will take care of that. My movies almost always render correctly.
