I bought the 400 for the RAM. Whatever app you run, now or future, has to be loaded to RAM. It's pretty hard to add more RAM after you buy the Ax. As a secondary consideration, Dell might offer an OS upgrade someday, and it might take more ROM than is in the 300. If this happens, the only options are to drop some features or "outboard" features as separate programs, as the OS has to be placed in ROM.
Of course, it was an easy decision, because the $$$ wasn't all that important to me.
