My IT guy came this afternoon (even w/o coffee or doughnuts) and I have the necessary security permissions under my user name and there are no GPOs. Thus, it is does not appear that Active Directory is the problem. Nevertheless, the drivers (wceusbsh.inf) for the X30 will not install on my machine (resulting in my X30 showing up as an unknown USB device, rather than syncing). My IT guy thinks it may be caused by a patch to windows 2k (SP4). My X30 works fine at home (XP) and synced at work until recently. Oh well, the saga continues. If I ever do solve this AS problem... I will report back. As always, suggestions, random thoughts, or musings are welcome.
