I've been researching this issue for the past 3 weeks.
It seems that at the moment - the only workaround is what rob1303 has stated - you must add all relevan contacts both to your PPC and home PC, with **exactly** the same name + email address.
In order to do this, you must add the contacts from your network to your personal contacts list (on your work PC), then perform a sync so they will be copied to your PPC, then sync at home.
Initially you'll receive the "unresolved" error, and then you'll have to go over **each and every** unresolved contact, meeting by meeting, and then all meetings will be synchronized.
I had exactly the same problem, and those are the steps I took to correct it.
I too have many meetings with many participants, and the meaning of this solution is that your PPC and home contacts list will have to hold info you don't need, but if you won't have it - you won't be able to sync those appointments.
Regarding your own name - it should be defined (including the corporate network email address) exactly as in your network.
