Well, I'm not sure what your setup is... But i noticed that if I have ActiveShield enabled, scanning only program files and documents, there is no lag in transfering. However, when it was scanning all files, it performed really badly.

Great tip. I had All Files on, and I knew that when McAfee was running, that it lagged my Syncing. :)
