Note that when *I* read the article , *I* read that MS was going to show the product at a trade show on Tuesday; unless I missed something, I would think there could be a significant delay before they actually deliver the product. But I have not been following this.

Nope, that's most likely a screengrab from a XOOM running the leaked image. Note the quicklink (or whatever it's called) buttons at the bottom of the screen.
And yes, it did sound to me like they were just showing it off and making some official statements about it. Hopefully one of those is a release date for Q2 2005.
