Under Start -> Settings -> Sounds & Notifications -> Notifications tab, there's a notification for

"Messaging: New e-mail message"

It has the option to play a sound, to select a sound to play, to display a message on the screen, and to flash the light for a specifiable interval.

However, no matter what I set this to, My X50V *NEVER* notifies me audibly that new mail has arrived.

Yes, I've definitely made sure that the sound isn't muted or turned down. It can make noises and play wav files. It just seems that Outlook isn't aware it's supposed to actually trigger this notification.

Has anyone seen this work? Does anyone know how to make it work?
