Fair enough. I agree it could be better and the look is a bit caotic with all the wires sticking out. The price was good especially since I wasn't sure I would use one and now love it and maybe would have spent more. Nothing against this mount the quality is quite good but for more bucks better can be had. I think your unit must be defectie as I tried to pry it out and it is in there solid. Can't use the extended batter (without velcro at least :) ) and put it in there or a case for the matter. One thing I don't like is that the power cord is too short and have to stretch it around my steering wheel to position to my right. The power cord can't be unpluged so it just hangs there if you don't or can plug it in, makes it a pain to put away at night so that it is not stolen.
