What I do is start the movie with the Media Center software then turn the Media Center program off. Then start fairuse and a new project. If this doesn't work try the fairuse forums. HTH

Thank you for your help. I discovered my error . I was putting the DVD drive in as the destination for my project files, which obviously can't work.
