I had a problem when I attempted hooking up my 50v with extended battery to my Dell laptop with sync cable only. I forget if the warning message state that there was to much voltage being applied to my usb port or if it was to much being drawn from the port. Otherwise with the std battery it works fine. I didn't go to the bother of hooking up the cradle to the laptop. After hearing the reported problems I avoid hooking it up to my laptop.
