As an old-head Palm user, used to Grafitti, I always use Block Recognizer. Unfortunately, all the hacks to modify the default input method, whether directly or via 3rd party software, leave out that as an option.
If you want to make Block Recognizer your default input method after a reset, then follow the registry hack on this web page:
http://www.phm.lu/PocketPC/RegTweaks/Tweak.asp?ref=13
But instead of the listed ClassIDs, use:
{42429691-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}
Note that it's only 1 digit different from the Character Recognizer ClassID. The 8th digit is a "1" for Block, and a "0" for Character Recognizer.
And while you're there, you could change the name of the input method like I did to "Grafitti" to avoid confusion.
If, for some reason, you want your default input method to be your Stowaway Keyboard, the ClassId is:
{390A55B2-5352-4BDC-B541-3DD59BFE3BB3}
I did not test the Stowaway hack, but the Block Recognizer works fine.
