Many people had problems when this card first came out and Dell, who sold it on their website, posted that it was 'not for the X5.' However, at least one user (leeosenton) posted in

If you do not have WM03 on your X5, then it probably won't work. If you do, make sure you downloaded the latest drivers from Sandisk specific for WM03 and have installed the
Dell Axim X5 CF Driver Update from Dell's downloads.
