I know this is not the perfect answer but until you decide which app you could use CabInstall direct on the Ax and install the apps cab files where you want them - most apps come as .cab just copy them to the Ax activate CabInstall and you're off and running. I have a PC but still use this as it gives me the option to specify where exactly I want the App installed AS doesn't offer this level of control.
