New Axim + Some questions

After reading this forum for a long while, I finally received my x50v, along with a palm universal keyboard and an innopocket magnesium hardcase.

Major thanks to all the kind people on this board for creating such a wonderful resource!!

Questions first:

* Is there a way to stop word completion popups while I'm using the palm keyboard (found a way to stop the SIP popping up,here )?

* Is anyone familiar with a binaries for Bash or Ruby for the Axim?

* I installed emacs with no problems thanks to this site but there's no esc key and ctrl-[ doesn't appear to work, any ideas?

* It appears the pocketpc version of emacs has a menu bar - any way to get it to appear on the axim? I had to add the -geometry switch to get it to work in high resolution mode, but I can't see the menu bar (if indeed there is one)...

I'm a former palm user, so some observations:

* Like other people said here, the palm keyboard is simply amazing - I'm a programmer so I'm really sensitive to keyboards, and I took to this one right away, even keeps up with my typing speed. Also, it "just worked" the first time I set it up - really nice!

* The innopocket looks to be a nice case although it's a bit bulkier than I would have preferred and the shape of it prevents me from using the axim on the keyboard with it. Also the plastic snap doesn't look too sturdy...

* It took a bit of fiddling to get things working in VGA mode, ozVGA and ForceHiRes seemed to do the trick but then I found that every time I soft reset ForceHiRes stopped working till I opened it's settings pane. Turns out you have to add forcehires.exe to the startup items to get it to work after a reboot - funny I didn't see this on the forum...

* The ability to read A4 formatted PDFs in landscape mode without horizontal scrolling is amazing!!!

* Styletap is amazing, I can run all my old palm programs faster than on my m505!
