First… they are X3s.
Second… Essentially, to get IMAP to sync in the cradle, we need an internet connection. To elaborate, we are on an exchange server. The server can only be accessed when you are on the domain. These AXIMs are going to be used by basketball coaches at Illinois State University. Because of the nature of their job (and many other jobs) they are going to want to sync with the exchange server while out on the road. I set up an IMAP account so when they are in an airport or something they can grab a wireless network and sync. The problem with this is that they will then have 2 inboxes. They will have their activesync inbox and their IMAP inbox. So we turn off mail sync in activesync and only use the IMAP mail box even when it is cradled. We DO NOT use the active sync mail box at all; it is too confusing for our users. But this requires a regular internet connection while in the cradle.
