Same thing here, had this on my previous X3 too.
Except on this unit, I can't set the volume below 7, because it simply mutes. Anything below 7 cannot be heard with any headphones/speakers because no sound comes out
. At 7 its pretty darn loud though, so thats sometimes a pain. I'm going to get an iPod Shuffle 1GB this Friday, so I won't have this problem anymore :P.
