I've seen this comment on the forum before and never have had the time to reply. First, I think it's inaccurate just because as long as the batteries are installed and have some juice, the Axim is never really 'off.'

Setting that aside, how do the people that know about these issues explain why my Axim, which I turn 'off' but leave plugged in over night, is never on in the morning. Its setting is to stay awake when it is plugged in once it wakes up (and that's what happen when I have an alarm set). In addition, I've been up at midnight (not often any more, I'm getting too old for that ;) ) and I've never seen the Axim screen come on, even though it's sitting in plain view.

Let me be clear, I'm not trying to critize anyone. I'd really just like to know the explanation.

One other thing I'd like to mention which goes directly to the original post. I know a couple months back in a similar thread to this one, one of the moderators mentioned that there is a hardware problem with some Axims which cause this behavior. If the above solutions don't work, call Dell for a replacement.
