Dell X50V : Wifi ON/OFF button on left ; won't turn Wifi ON
Hi,
I like to switch ON & OFF the Wifi (802.11b) to preserve battery. So I use it just to be on the internet and like to turn Wifi off...pretty normal so far.
The top button on the left which turns Wifi ON & OFF doesn't seem to work correctly. If I hit the switch, I get a message which states, hit the button again to get connected to Wireless in 5 seconds, I hit it immediately and it just doesn't turn on Wifi.
I usually click the "broken" Wifi icon on the bottom right and turn it on manually, but would be nice if the button kicked it on & off.
I believe, since I installed Omega One Battery Pack Pro 1.1, this seems to be the issue. I had hard booted recently ; the wireless button worked great...but has been dead for a while...
Any assistance would be appreciated.
