Could it be that your wifi button is in bluetooth-only mode?

I find that the button will only enable the wireless service(s) that it was most recently used to disable.

For example, when you turn on bluetooth manually (leaving wifi off), and then use the button to disable bluetooth, the next time you use the button to enable wireless, it will only enable bluetooth.

If that's not the case then it could simply be some corruption of your registry or something that would require some digging or a hard reset to fix.
