IU've never had a PQI card so I'm not sure how reliable they are.

I've had this happen on 2 of my SD cards ... There are many theories on this and why its caused ... Most seem to be a combination of Axim and SanDisk SD controllers ...

All the cards I've had fail on mine and a friends have had an AR0xxxxx number on the back and were made in Taiwan ... I've heard rumors these cards have a SanDisk controller even if they are not labeled SanDisk.

The ones I have that work great all have a normal serial number and were made in Japan ... A lot of these cards (SimpleTech, Lexar*) use Hitachi controllers in the card

Some people have been able to get their card working right by formatting it as FAT32 using programs like StorageTools and such ...

Just out of curiosity what label do you have on the back of your card?
