Which IR keyboard do you have? I have the Pocketop keyboard and it works well. It also comes with drivers that allow you to do the screen rotation (although you need to do a soft reset whenever you want to change the orientation). You can download the drivers that handle the screen rotation from their website (
http://pocketop.radiant.net/drivers.shtml).
The "autodim" can be reset by going to Settings/Brightness, then clicking on "External Power" or "Battery Power" to change the dimming behavior as necessary.
