I have all the roms that were released on the X5, including three backup files (SD, BIS, and PC).

Reflashing with the same ROM as what's currently installed on the X5 involves copying the ROM to a CF card and booting from it. Instructions are found here:

But, a hard reset should clear everything out, unless the X5 won't start at all.
