I use Smart Ripper and PocketDivxEncoder (both free), purely because I started with these and see no need to change. They work fine for me and both are very easy to use.
I set PocketDivxEncoder to Video Quality 36 (548 kbps) and Audio Quality to 6 (96 kbps). I also set it to VGA mode 640 x 480. The resolution on my X50v is quite excellent - as good as I could possibly wish. :approve:
