At home I can connect just by hitting the button on my Axim X30 and it surfs fairly well (although I have yet to find a browser that fits the screen in landscape nicely).
Q #1: Anyway, I am connected but how do I tell what process I am using to connect? I have these in my "connections" settings:
AvantGo Connect (works fine)
Beam (never had a chance to use it yet)
BlueTooth
Connections
Dell Wlan Utility
Network Cards
OdtsseybClient
Q #2 : I connect at home fine but what icon should I try to work a hotspot? I have yet to find a place (even around Ground Zero) where I can find a "hotspot". Should I try one of the connections above v. just hitting that little tab button lower right on my Axim X30?

www.socketcom.com utility " WiFi Companion" be of any help to me? I got the free trial download from
www.handago.com but have yet to wade through all the technical instructions to figure it out before I buy. Good thing they gave me a 2 week free trial, I'll need the time to figure it out!
