Yep, this version finally works, the previous one crashed half way through indexing my music library.
It keeps the entire play list in RAM and allocates approximately 1MB per day of music stored so beware if you have large playlists.
I think WiFitunes would serve well as a frontend for betaplayer, sort of addon to betaplayer's playlist browser. Betaplayer plays all the files that WiFitunes are tumbling accross plus has some nice features such as key shortcuts, etc. This is my personal opinion.
