Hmm, good question. From the descriptions though, it sounds like your PDA has to be connected to your local network to use either WiFiTunes or Resco. With Orb, you access your home PC's media files from the Internet, i.e. from any public hotspot in the world. (And yes, it's secure -- uses both password verification and SSL security).
